Early in e morn woken up by e din created outside.. Juz b4 i feel like getting up n shout out of e window tell them i cant sleep when they r making so much noise. Den i rem 2day is ah ling's big day. The groom n his brothers haf come for the bride. Since he is frm holland, he dun really noe e tradition n can hear uncle(ling's father hu frequently smokes near e doorstep outside my hse, tat uncle) telling him tat he cant enter w/o giving ang bao.
The sisters of ling were really smart, came up wif a huge n auspicious number tat the groom haf 2 pay so tat they will let him in. The gals haf prepared a list of things tat e brothers muz do b4 they r willing 2 negotiate e amt with them. The fact tat e groom only understands dutch, eng n a little of hokkien n mandarin create a lot of laughter. He is soo cute when he apologise 2 his brothers. The amt was in US dollars, mixed wif local currency too i tink. Wooooo~ Din really catch e amt but is somewhere ard 800+++. Took them close to 45 mins 2 successfully get into e hse!
Saw ling, she's so prettty!!!! And of coz her hubby is so charming in his suit! But he perspire a lot, still not used 2 local climate. Luckily they r gg stay in holland n not spore. My dad call him ang mo dan (rambutan in hokkien). Haha! My parents gonna attend their wedding dinner 2nite at OCC. Heard is a posh countryclub. Congratulations ling!!
